Travel Tips Unveiled: Bali

I wanted to take a moment to answer some of the logistical questions many of you have asked about my recent trip to Bali. Based on my personal experience, I’ve compiled answers to some of the most common queries, including flight routing, duration, visa requirements, customs procedures, and more. I hope you find this information helpful as you plan your own travels!

Flight Routing & Duration:
For my trip, I took a connecting flight with a layover in Singapore. The flight from my departure city to Singapore was about 14 hours, and the connecting flight to Bali was another 2.5 hours. While the travel time can seem long, the comfort of the flight made the journey quite manageable. It’s always a good idea to plan ahead and check the best connections available from your specific location.

Visa Requirements:
As a tourist, I was eligible for the Visa on Arrival (VoA) option, which allows you to stay in Bali for up to 30 days. The process at the airport was straightforward, but be sure to have your return ticket and passport ready for inspection. If you’re planning to stay longer, you can extend your visa, but I recommend checking the most up-to-date requirements ahead of your trip.

Customs Procedures:
Upon arrival, the customs process was smooth and efficient. You’ll need to fill out a customs declaration form, and as always, be prepared for random checks, especially for items such as alcohol or tobacco. Be sure to declare anything that exceeds the duty-free limit to avoid any potential issues.

I hope this clears up some of the logistical questions you might have. Apologies for the occasional background noise of the Balinese breeze—it’s hard to resist the peaceful sounds of nature while sitting here enjoying my surroundings! Safe travels, and feel free to reach out if you have more questions.
