Just Back From: New Zealand
In a journey marked by adventure, discovery, and warm hospitality, Kareem George recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to New Zealand. In the expert care of our trusted partners at Abercrombie & Kent Australia and New Zealand, Kareem explored a variety destinations through the country, also engaging with the distinctive Maori culture.
This Kiwi adventure began in the vibrant city of Auckland. The Park Hyatt Auckland served as a luxurious home base, providing breathtaking views of the harbor. Auckland's museums and diverse culinary offering was impressive.
Kareem next ventured north to the picturesque Bay of Islands, a region known for its pristine landscapes and coastal charm. This is also the area of New Zealand's founding at the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds. There is also no shortage of luxury accommodation. Kareem was graciously hosted by Eagles Nest and The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs.
Traveling more centrally into New Zealand's North Island, Kareem visited the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua. Solitaire Lodge, set on beautiful Lake Tarawera, was a truly idyllic experience. The time in Rotorua allowed further Maori cultural immersion, providing valuable insights into their rich traditions and storytelling.
This educational journey took a thrilling turn as Kareem ventured to Queenstown, the adrenaline capital of New Zealand. His stay at both Blanket Bay and Azur Lodge provided not only breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu but also an exclusive, awe-inspiring helicopter tour that showcased the region's rugged beauty from the skies, complete with a landing on a glacier!
